This emphasis is designed for students wishing to qualify for admission for a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene at a senior institution. Students should consult the catalog of the senior institution for specific requirements regarding admission and prerequisites. Note: This major is not intended for students seeking an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Students should work closely with an academic advisor to select appropriate courses.

Summary of Required Hours

¹MATH 1830 - Applied Calculus  or MATH 1530 - Introductory Statistics  will substitute if required by some senior institutions or professional programs.

²Some senior institutions may require BIOL 1120 - General Biology II  and/or BIOL 1130 - General Biology III .

³Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.
