Pre-Law Emphasis: University Parallel, A.S.

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Career Communities

This program helps students develop knowledge of the American political and legal system as well as the skills required for admission and success in law school: oral and written communications skills, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, professional ethics, as well as the ability to conduct research and present persuasive and accurate arguments.

The Pre-Law concentration prepares students for a bachelor’s degree followed by three years of law school. The first two years of this requirement may be met at Cleveland State Community College by the completion of a university-parallel Associate of Science degree. The specific degree program and electives should be carefully chosen in consultation with the advisor.
