1Natural Science Sequence.

2Recommended electives include: SWRK 1060 - Social Work Practicum , SWRK 1130 - Substance Abuse , SWRK 1320 - Aging in America/Elder Care , SWRK 2020 - Cultural Diversity SWRK 2030 - Introduction to Social Welfare and Policy , SWRK 2040 - Interviewing Skills , SWRK 2050 - Crisis and Mental Health  and SWRK 2060 - Family and Children Services . Several universities require  SWRK 2030 - Introduction to Social Welfare and Policy SWRK 2040 - Interviewing Skills  and SWRK 1060 - Social Work Practicum  before acceptance into a College of Social Work Program.

3Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.  For a TBR university, one course in Tennessee History may be substituted for one course in American History.

4SOCI 1020 - Social Problems  or other Social Work elective.
