This course examines the field of transportation including the various modes of roads, railroads, airports, pipelines and water transportation. Other concepts covered include estimating costs; regulation and deregulation of transportation; international, intermodal and drayage trends; provider relations, contract and common carrier services; compliance standards; and the transportation challenges related to growing international trade.
