READ 0800 - Introduction to College Reading5 credits
 Following assessment and based on the plan created as a result of the individual’s diagnostic testing results, the student will work through the needed coursework to master Tennessee Board of Regents Reading competencies in the following categories: Main Ideas; Supporting Details; Organization/Relationships; Vocabulary Development; Critical Reading/Logic; and Strategic Reading. There will be one hour of class time per week along with additional language lab time and small group meetings. Students will only cover those areas which their diagnostic scores deem necessary and will not be required to attend class sessions that do not meet their individual needs assessment. F,S
