Cleveland State Community College provides the opportunity for students to increase their knowledge by offering programs of instruction in the various disciplines and programs through faculty who, in the opinion of the institution, are qualified for teaching at the college level. The acquisition and retention of knowledge by any student is, however, contingent upon the student’s desire and ability to learn and his or her application of appropriate study techniques to any course or program. Thus, Cleveland State Community College must necessarily limit representation of student preparedness in any field of study to that competency demonstrated at that specific point in time at which appropriate academic measurements were taken to certify course or program completion.

Cleveland State Community College is an Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity (AA/ EEO) institution committed to the education of a nonracially identifiable staff and student body. The college does not permit discrimination on the basis of race, color, religious views, veteran status, political affiliation, gender, age, national origin orientation or disability against employees, students and guests in any college sponsored or hosted educational program or activity including, but not limited to, the following: recruitment, admissions, academic and other educational program activities, housing, facilities, access to course offerings, counseling, financial assistance, employment assistance, health and insurance benefits and services, rules for marital and parental status, student services, and athletics.

Cleveland State Community College is committed to making the campus accessible to students with disabilities. Handicapped parking spaces in each parking area are clearly marked.

Students with disabilities who need accommodations are asked to contact the Coordinator of Disability Support Services. This office is located in Room 118 of the George L. Mathis Student Center (423) 478-6217.
