Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Career Communities

The Associate of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering Technology is designed for those students interested in working as an operator/technician in a chemical manufacturing facility.  Emphasis for the Laboratory Technician Concentration is placed on laboratory safety, laboratory techniques and advanced instrumentation.  The program accomplishes these tasks by combining classroom study with practical hands-on-experience in the labs associated with the course work.

This is a technical program designed to prepare students for employment.  This program is not a transfer program, although many institutions accept all or part of the course work toward a bachelor’s degree.
