Summary of Required Hours 

¹Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.  For UT system universities, one course in Tennessee History may be substituted for one course in American History.

²Students who wish to pursue a concentration in actuarial science available at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga; Middle Tennessee State University; or Tennessee State University should complete ECON 2100 - Principles of Macroeconomics  and ECON 2200 - Principles of Microeconomics  to fulfill the requirement in Social/Behavioral Sciences.
