Pre-Computer Science Emphasis: University Parallel, A.S.


This is a university-parallel curriculum provided for students who plan to pursue an Associate of Science degree for transfer toward a Bachelor of Science degree at senior institutions.

1Students transferring to a university should check the requirements at that school. The Tennessee Transfer Pathways allows for two Natural Science courses in two different disciplines, although most universities recommend CHEM 1110 - General Chemistry I  and CHEM 1120 - General Chemistry II  or PHYS 2110 - Calculus Based Physics I  and PHYS 2120 - Calculus Based Physics II .

2Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.

3It is recommended that ECON 2100 - Principles of Macroeconomics  and ECON 2200 - Principles of Microeconomics  be taken for most universities.

4Students transferring to MTSU should not take

  but instead take MATH 2050 - Calculus-Based Probability and Statistics  which is offered via TN eCampus.
