Accounting Emphasis: University Parallel, A.S. (TTP)


This program is provided as a guide for students who plan to earn an associate of science degree for transfer toward a bachelor of science degree at other colleges or universities. For students wishing to study accounting but who do not plan to continue for a bachelor’s degree, the Associate of Applied Science in Accounting  or Business  is available.

1Students planning transfer to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville must complete MATH 2050 - Calculus-Based Probability and Statistics .

2Students transferring to ETSU, MTSU, TSU or UT Knoxville should take MATH 1630 - Finite Mathematics .  Students transferring to TTU, University of Memphis or UT Martin should take a college algebra course.

3Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.  For UT system universities, one course in Tennessee History may be substituted for one course in American History.

4MATH 1830 - Applied Calculus  or equivalent course is required at ETSU, UT Knoxville, University of Memphis, UT Chattanooga, TSU and TTU only.  MATH 1830 - Applied Calculus  or equivalent is not required at UT Martin, APSU or MTSU and the student may instead wish to select an alternate guided elective in consultation with an academic advisor.
