HIST 2060 - African-American History

This course will examine the history of Africans and their descendants in the United States from the end of the Civil War to the present, investigating topics from emancipation to the ongoing struggle for Civil Rights.  Connections between this history and the issues and concerns facing all Americans in the present will be explored. Three hours lecture per week. (Prerequisite(s): All required learning support reading.) UD
