MATH 1130 - College Algebra

3 credits


♦ Equations and inequalities, functions of lines, distance formula, midpoint formula functions and graphs, interval notation, polynomial, radical and rational functions, solving equations graphically, finding zeros of polynomial functions, graphing parabolas, finding turning points, maxima and minima, identify intervals of increasing and decreasing, analyzing graphs, exponential and logarithmic functions, equations and applications, linear and nonlinear regression and modeling, solving applications.  Graphing calculator required–see course syllabus for details. Three hours per week. (Prerequisite(s): Two years of high school algebra or DSPM 0850.) F, S
