MATH 1810 - Basic Calculus I

3 credits


 Calculus of polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, radical, and rational functions, limits and continuity, derivatives of functions, difference quotient, differential equations, indefinite integrals, definite integrals, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, approximating derivatives and integrals using technology, solving applications in business and science. Graphing calculator required–see course syllabus for details. Credit toward mathematics requirements not granted for both MATH 1810 and MATH 1910. Three hours per week. (Prerequisite(s): Two years of high school algebra and one year of high school geometry MATH 1710 or high school advanced math recommended.) F, S
