This curriculum is designed for students who wish to complete two years of college preparation applicable to immediate employment in public and government services areas. Concentrations in Criminal Justice and Legal Administrative Assistant are available.


Criminal Justice Concentration: Public and Government Service, A.A.S.


This concentration is designed for peace officers to develop and to enhance their professional skills.

This program is not designed for transfer, although many institutions accept all or part of the course work toward the bachelor’s degree.

Legal Administrative Assistant Concentration: Public and Government Service, A.A.S.


A legal administrative assistant is qualified through basic legal knowledge as well as office/computer skills for employment and multitasking in the legal environment.

This program is not designed for transfer, although many institutions accept all or part of the course work toward the bachelor’s degree.

1In consultation with academic advisor, students may select electives that meet career/college degree requirements (i.e. ACCT, BUSN, CPE, CRMJ, INFS, LAW, MGT, OSA, SPAN).

2In consultation with academic advisor, students may select appropriate Humanities/Fine Arts, Social/Behavioral Sciences and Natural Science/Mathematics electives. .

3Cooperative education placements in the legal field must be prearranged with the Cooperative Education Office before students can enroll in the course. The academic advisor will help determine when the student is prepared for his/her internship.
