This emphasis is designed to prepare students for transfer to a bachelor’s degree granting institution. This program prepares students for more advanced study in a pathway through which students can pursue careers in natural science, engineering, medicine, allied health or science education.

Summary of Required Hours

¹Students have the option to take MATH 1910  and MATH 1920 , or MATH 1730  and MATH 1910 .  Both courses in the sequence must be completed.  UTK requires MATH 1910  and MATH 1920 . 

²Some specific concentrations in Chemistry allow PHYS 2010  and PHYS 2020 . Check with the transferring institution for their specific requirement. 

³Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.
