Business Administration Emphasis: University Parallel Major, A.S. (TTP)

This program is provided as a guide for students who plan to earn associate of science degrees for transfer toward bachelor of science degrees at other colleges or universities. Students interested in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, office administration or related fields should consider this curriculum. For students wishing to study business but who do not plan to continue for bachelor’s degrees, the Associate of Applied Science Business degree is available.

1Students who plan to transfer to UT Knoxville must complete MATH 2050 - Calculus-Based Probability and Statistics .

2Students transferring to ETSU, MTSU, TSU or UT Knoxville should take MATH 1630 - Finite Mathematics .  Students transferring to TTU, University of Memphis or UT Martin should take a college algebra course.

3Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.  For a TBR university, one course in Tennessee History may be substituted for one course in American History.

4MATH 1830 - Applied Calculus  or equivalent course is required at ETSU, UT Knoxville, University of Memphis, UT Chattanooga, TSU and TTU only.  MATH 1830 - Applied Calculus   or equivalent is not required at UT Martin, APSU or MTSU and the student may instead wish to select an alternate guided elective in consultation with an academic advisor.
