NUR 1020 - Nursing II9 credit(s)
This is the second of four courses. The nursing philosophy and the six core competencies provide the basis for increasingly complex theory, skills, and clinical experiences. The emphasis is care of patients throughout the life cycle including both normal and abnormal physiological and psychological alterations in homeostasis or health. Nursing clinical specialty areas include mother and neonate and medical-surgical nursing. The student utilizes the nursing process and basic skills in providing care for selected patients. Five hours lecture and 15 hours lab per week. (Prerequisite(s): NUR 1010.) S
