MATH 1510 - Introductory Statistics

3 credits


 Statistics for business, education, nursing and other disciplines, data types, sampling methods, qualitative and quantitative methods, regression and correlation, measures of central tendency and variability, estimation, probability, permutations and combinations, binomial distribution, confidence intervals, standard normal distribution, hypothesis testing for population mean and proportion, analysis of variance, solving applications. Graphing calculators required–See course syllabus for details. Three hours per week. (Prerequisite(s): Two years of high school algebra or DSPM 0852.) F, S
