Music Emphasis: General Transfer Major, A.F.A.

¹Students will complete the remaining six hours of the Humanities requirement, including one course in literature, as universities upon transfer.  Students who plan to transfer to the University of Memphis should complete a course in literature rather than Music Appreciation.

²Students who seek an associate of fine arts degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.  To transfer to a TBR university, students should take a six-hour sequence in American History.  One course in Tennessee History may be substituted for one course in American History.  To transfer to a UT system institution, students should refer to the articulation agreement with that particular college.

Students must successfully complete placement requirements in Music Theory, Ear Training and Piano at the university where transfer is planned.  Students must also successfully complete required university auditions as appropriate.
