1Students who plan to attend East Tennessee State University or the University of Tennessee, Knoxville will complete ART 1045 - Drawing I  and a three-hour elective course in Studio Art rather than ART 1050 - Drawing II .

2Students who seek an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree should take the history sequence required by the senior institution.  For a TBR university, one course in Tennessee History may be substituted for one course in American History.

3Any additional three-hour art course can count as a studio elective.  These include, but are not limited to, ARTP 2110 - Sculpture I ARTP 2120 - Sculpture II ARTP 2410 - Clay I ARTP 2420 - Clay II ARTP 2710 - Individual Problems in Art I  and ARTP 2720 - Individual Problems in Art II .

Sophomore students are highly encouraged to enroll in ARTP 2510 - Portfolio Preparation  in order to prepare themselves for transfer to another college or university.

Additional Information Regarding Foreign Language:

Requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree at universities include demonstrated competency in foreign language at the intermediate level. Community college students are encouraged to attain intermediate-level competency in foreign language before transferring. Complete information regarding foreign language requirements at each university may be found on the transfer and articulation websites of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the University of Tennessee System. Community college students are encouraged to be familiar with foreign language requirements at the universities and, if applicable, complete the requirements before transferring.
