This course is designed to provide a broad introduction to International Relations (IR). The course content will cover fundamental theories, issues, methods of inquiry and terminology that comprise the study of IR as well as how those fundamentals help students to understand and to analyze selected aspects of current international politics. Students will learn about the major IR theories of realism, liberalism and constructivism as well as related topics such as theories of conflict, decision-making theory, international organizations and terrorism.
