This course covers welding safety, oxyfuel cutting, plasma arc cutting, air carbon arc gouging, base metal preparation, weld quality, SMAW equipment and set up, SMAW electrodes, SMAW beads and fillet welds, joint fit-up and alignment. SMAW groove welds with backing, and SMAW open root grove welds plate. Additional fee: $100. One hour lecture and three hours lab per week. F,S
